Strangers at the Door: Thomas More in 1517

Sir Thomas More -often attributed to Shakespeare- wrote this 400 years ago, excoriating a London crowd for shouting at refugees. Different century. Same very human scene.

A family carrying what they can.
A long road toward somewhere safer.
A quiet hope that the next place might let them stay.

Four centuries later, the arguments still echo.

Thankfully, so does empathy.
